Halloween Food, Events, and Characters Coming to the Disneyland Resort This Fall
Disney announced its plans for Halloween at the Disneyland Resort this week through a fun Disney Parks Halfway to Halloween campaign.
Look, I know what you’re thinking. It’s April — almost May — and we’re talking about Halloween. But the Halloween festivities begin in August at the Disney Parks, and I can’t be mad at it.
The campaign kicked off with an announcement on Monday, April 24, 2022, about Halfway to Halloween in the Disney parks, where Disney will bring back park-goers’ favorite spooky snacks and merch (and a few new ghoulish items) beginning on April 28, 2022, for a limited time only. Some snacks include the spooky churro, a cinnamon churro drizzled with peanut butter and chocolate sauce and topped with peanut butter candy pieces, at the Disneyland Resort, and Jack Skellington and Mickey Mummy specialty popcorn buckets at Walt Disney World Resort.
Here’s everything you need to know about Disney’s Halfway to Halloween announcements at the Disneyland Resort.

FOOD
If you absolutely can’t wait for the spooky season to begin at the Disneyland Resort, some of the vendors in the Downtown Disney District are bringing back two of our favorite Halloween treats during Halfway to Halloween.
California Churro will have the spooky churro now through May 4, and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs will offer their cheddar pickle dog, a pickle on a stick sprinkled with cheddar cheese for a pop of orange to celebrate Halfway to Halloween!
A first look at all the foods being offered during Halfway to Halloween can be found on the Disney Parks Blog.
EVENTS
This fall, Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party, will return to Disney California Adventure. This event is a separately ticketed party similar to the Disneyland After Dark events. Park-goers without tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash will need to exit Disney California Adventure early, so plan your park day accordingly.

CHARACTERS
Disney also shared a sneak peek of Mickey and Minnie’s Halloween costumes at the Disneyland Resort this fall. Mickey looks so cute, dressed as a Jack-o-lantern, and Minnie looks adorable dressed as a kitty cat.
This next character isn’t necessarily spooky, and we’d probably want her on our team in a scary situation. America Chavez from “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will debut at the Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure for a limited time beginning May 6, 2022.
