Life Lately No. 1
I'm starting this new column called Life Lately because believe it or not, you all want to know more about me! After my last reader survey in June, all of you pretty much said that you wanted to see more personal posts on the blog. Go figure! First of all, this is totally out of my comfort zone. I've been blogging for about five years now and there were many personal posts drafted but never published for fear of me sharing too much online. But, i'm more than happy to give it a try if that is what you guys are interested in reading.
In Blog News
I guess to start things off I should address the elephant in the room — what happened to this space? Well, last week I deleted everything because I was unhappy with the work I was putting out. I work a full-time job and this space comes second to that. Sometimes at the end of a long day i'm super pumped to come home and blog. But, more often than not, i'm pooped so this space tends to go unattended and when I do get to it, I rush to put up posts for the sake of putting up a post. So this month i've dedicated all of my free time — including early mornings and late nights — to reorganize this space. Thanks to my good friend, Jenn, she's taken time from her weekends to help me shoot some awesome pictures for my blog posts. Thanks Jenn!
Work Life Balance
Work is nothing but slow but it's much slower than it was a few months ago. Something fun my team and I tried is the newly installed Biki bikes from Bikeshare Hawaii. It's been years since i've gotten on a bike, but I guess you can never really forget how to ride one.
Fun in The Sun
Even though i'm from Hawaii, I rarely ever go to the beach. And for about five years I didn't even own a bathing suit! We're changing that and in June I told Angel that we need to go to the beach at least once this summer. Surprisingly enough we've already been twice this month. Total beach babes.
Where to Eat
Angel and I have this on again, off again new year's resolution of eating at a new place once a month and this month it was Kickin Kajun! They have the best lunch special ($11.99 for a plate like ours) — comes with a trendy plastic bib and gloves, too. SO ONO!
