Fall is right around the corner, and I'm excited to shop all the Labor Day sales! Old Navy is my favorite store to buy affordable and stylish outfits, and I’m sure they’ll have a sweet three-day weekend sale this weekend. Although Hawaii’s weather feels like an endless summer, I can’t wait to stock up my closet with some cute fall clothes and finally wear my closet full of sweaters comfortably. Follow me on the LTK app, @jessikalynorozco, for Labor Day finds and exclusive app-only content, and keep reading to see my Old Navy fall wardrobe essentials!

OLD NAVY Fall Wardrobe Essentials

I'm a longtime Old Navy shopper. When I think of Old Navy, I think of my childhood and wearing all the Old Navy-branded clothes. You know, the shirts with the words "Old Navy" printed on them. We didn't have an Old Navy store on Kaua'i, so you were considered cool for buying your clothes online in the late-90s or early 2000s. Years later, I'm still a loyal Old Navy shopper. The quality of their clothes has improved, and I love that I can build multiple stylish outfits for work, travel, and home for under $100.

JACKETS, COATS, OUTERWEAR

Fall is one of my favorite times to shop at Old Navy, and I finally hopped on the shacket bus and purchased my first shacket ever. It's a gray and white plaid soft-brushed utility shacket and the perfect neutral outerwear staple to transition you from summer to fall.

Another outerwear staple I'm excited to add to my collection of sweaters is this mock-neck quarter-zip fleece sweatshirt. Although I'm no longer working full-time in an office, I think this sweatshirt would look cute styled with this high-waisted windowpane-plaid pixie skinny ankle pants and these black faux-leather Chelsea boots.

SHIRTS AND BLOUSES

Can we also talk about cardigans as tops? I'm totally into it this year, and I have some shaker-stitch cardigan sweaters in my cart. I normally wear a size XL-XXL in tops, but when I tried this style of cardigan in the store, I sized down to a small size.

The end of summer and the beginning of fall is the hottest time of year in Hawaii, and one of my favorite fall wardrobe staples to style between seasons is mock-neck tops. This fitted rib-knit mock-neck sleeveless top is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. But if you’re like me and don’t mind wearing a sweater when it’s hot, you’ll love this timeless Rachel Green and Monica Geller-inspired rib-knit turtleneck top. I have a couple of colors in my cart, including this red one, which I will most likely buy because red is my power color.

I recently bought this cropped open-knit sweater tank top in the color creme de la creme, which is so cute! I love to pair it with my high-waisted Rockstar super-skinny jeans that I've had forever. I also bought this flutter-sleeve crochet lace tie-back top, and I wore it to work with an older version of these extra high-waisted Stevie skinny pants I bought a while ago. I loved how well the top fit my chest, as well as the smocked cinch waist.

DRESSES

I’ve had this one-shoulder midi shift dress in my cart for a few weeks now. It looks so chic, but it's so affordable. If I buy it, I plan on wearing it for one of our fancier dinners on our Disney Cruise in December.

This hot pink satin-smocked midi slip dress is also very chic-looking and would be perfect for a September wedding when the colors are still summer-inspired. It also comes in this pretty gold color, which would be perfect for those later fall weddings.

PANTS AND JEANS

Now, let's talk jeans. The quality of the jeans at Old Navy has improved significantly, but finding the right size is still an issue for me. Last year, Old Navy launched Bodequality, a size-inclusive campaign that boasts they now offer sizes 0-30 and XS-4X in store. And while I think it’s about damn time, it's still difficult for me to shop for pants in-store because they don't offer short lengths. They only offer short-length pants online, which makes it frustrating to find the right size.

I normally wear size 16 / 18 short in Old Navy jeans, and I recently had to order four pairs of the same style of jeans in various sizes only to return all four pairs because each one didn't fit me right. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this issue has happened. The shopping experience for people under 5'4" needs to be more accessible everywhere, not just at Old Navy. I feel like if Old Navy is going to pour money into marketing how size inclusive they are, I want to see access to inclusive sizing for all shapes and sizes (including length) in stores, too.

Despite my past frustrating pant-shopping experiences, I am pleased with how affordable, and long-lasting their jeans are, which is why I will continue to shop at Old Navy. They have so many cute styles of jeans out right now, like these extra high-waisted wide-leg jeans and these high-waisted O.G. straight side-slit ankle jeans.

SHOES

I mentioned these black faux-leather Chelsea boots at the beginning of this post but wanted to mention them again here in case you forgot about them. I also saw these faux-leather chunky-heel loafer shoes in the store, and they reminded me of some of the looks in Clueless and Princess Diaries. I kinda dig them.
