What I've Been Up To ...

It's been about a month since my last post. Work has been pretty non-stop with meetings, events, and traveling for weekend work trips. A few weekends ago Angel and I both had a Saturday off and we took it slow by having a late breakfast and watching movies until late in the afternoon. I grew up always having something to do so you an imagine how hard it is for me to chill and do nothing. Here's what i've been up to ...

Meal Prepping

I've been on a health and fitness kick thanks to my sister, Krystin. She recently introduced me to Whitney Simmons' YouTube channel and i've been so into it. I've successfully meal prepped two weeks in a row and it has helped me save so much money and eat healthier. I work right next to a McDonalds and Starbucks and it is so tempting to eat there for breakfast and/or lunch. It's taken a lot more planning than I would like but you gotta do what you gotta do to reach your fitness goals! Last week I made Blueberry Almond Baked Oatmeal Cups for my morning snack. I'm not much of a baker but this was super easy and tasty!

Travel

I've been traveling the neighbor islands non-stop for work since the end of August. In a few weeks i'll be back on the Big Island (this time in Kona) for my friend, Olivia's, wedding. High key looking forward to this much-needed mini vacay.

Beach Please ...

Angel and I have been total beach girls and have now gone more times than I can count on one hand. Last weekend we spent an unexpected 5+ hours at Kaiona Beach Park relaxing and snorkeling. We even got to see a turtle! To be honest, we stuck around much longer to see the turtle which is why we are both suffering from ugly sunburns right now. (It was worth it though!)

On The Blog

ICYMI — Here are the last five posts I posted before I got busy:

  1. What To Do When You Feel Homesick

  2. Dear 26-Year-Old Me

  3. Beauty Essentials For a Weekend Work Trip

  4. Things I Like: August 2017

  5. A Weekend in Waikiki

In the midst of all the busy, I was able to put together a nice story about Manaola Hawaii at NYFW. I'm a huge fan of the lifestyle and fashion brand and was so excited that I got to feature them on my job's blog. Mahalo to all of those that made this opportunity happen.
